What we collect
Account information you provide (name, work email, company), candidate data submitted during placement, platform usage logs, and — for engineers who opt in — schedules, logged hours, and optional activity screenshots.
Why we collect it
To match talent to clients, run payroll and benefits, maintain employment and tax compliance, and operate the Heystaff platform. We do not sell personal data, ever.
Where it lives
Primary data is hosted in SOC 2 Type II environments in the US and EU. Sub-processors are listed in our Trust Center and reviewed annually.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, and portability are available on request to privacy@heystaff.com. We respond within 30 days under GDPR, CCPA, and equivalent regimes.
Retention
Active engagement data is retained for the life of the contract. Statutory records (tax, employment, benefits) are retained for the legally required period and then deleted.
